Child  Support - Statewide - Legal Assistant 

As a Legal Assistant, you are responsible for gathering information to assist the attorneys with legal action, preparing legal documents and correspondence, coordinating service of legal documents, electronically filing legal documents with the appropriate clerk of court in accordance with the Rules of Court, maintaining legal document templates, accepting and returning phone calls and answering other inquiries, navigating and entering data and narratives into the automated child support system (FACSES), and maintaining a calendar to monitor progress of cases and maintain calendar for hearings.  

To be considered for this position you are required to have completion of two years of college in pre-law or legal assistance and two years of legal research analysis work experience. Additional work experience as specified may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.

Location: ND DHHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work remotely from anywhere within North Dakota, working during regular business hours, with the ability to travel for meetings.
